Yes, non-resistant maltodextrin is a carbohydrate which contains calories and can thus provide energy. VPAs Maltodextrin Powder does not contain any protein or fat, it is purely a carbohydrate containing 39.9g of carbohydrates per serve (40g).
Resistant maltodextrin does not provide energy as it has undergone an additional process in order to be indigestible.
