5 of the Most Nutritious Foods

Many people do not realize how much their diet contributes to their overall health and well-being. Although some health issues may be attributed to genetic factors, diet plays a major role in determining your quality of life. It's hard to compare or decide which food to eat nowadays when you can't even tell what is healthy and what isn't. I was wondering myself a while ago if there was a way to visualize this?

We all know that you can lose weight by eating less and exercising more. But did you know that you can gain muscle, burn fat and increase your energy by effectively managing the carbs, proteins and fats in your diet?

The following is a list of which nutrients your body needs and why you should be eating more nutrient-dense foods if you want to eat healthier and prevent disease. The following are some examples of nutrient-dense foods that can help promote health.

Spinach

Spinach is one of the most nutritious foods you can buy. A serving of spinach (one cup) contains 60% of vitamin A,  6,103 mcg of beta-carotene, and more than 240 milligrams of calcium. Spinach has also been found to contain some unique nutrients like lutein, zeaxanthin, and quercetin, all of which help fight eye diseases like cataracts, macular degeneration, and more.

Spinach is an amazing source of nutrients with a low-calorie count. It has all the benefits you need in nutrient-dense food that can be easily added to your diet or your child's diet. Spinach is also very versatile with many different cooking methods.

Beetroot

Beetroot has a high level of nutrients that can improve our health. It is high in fibre, antioxidants, folate, manganese, magnesium and calcium.

It is one of the most nutritious foods available because it also contains carotenoids - which are plant pigments that have long been known to be essential for eye health.

Beetroot is one of the most nutritious foods found in almost every kitchen across the globe. It provides a lot of energy, it has low-calorie content, and it has a low glycemic index level, so it does not cause any damage to your body's cells. Most importantly, beetroot's symptom management for people with cancer has been scientifically proven.

Kale

Kale is one of the most nutritious foods that our body needs because it has a high amount of fibre, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and iron. All these nutrients are essential for our body's development and growth.

It is known to have many health benefits. It helps maintain good vision because it has plenty of antioxidants, which help prevent macular degeneration and cataracts. It also regulates blood sugar levels due to the presence of antioxidants which have anti-inflammatory properties.

Broccoli

Broccoli is another nutritious vegetable. It is a source of vitamins and minerals loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help prevent cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

Broccoli is commonly eaten as a side dish or in soup or salad. It can also be cooked as a main course, such as in stir fry, sautéed, steamed, or roasted.

It's best to eat sweet potatoes raw when you can. They also taste great when roasted with cinnamon and honey or baked with maple syrup and butter. A half-cup of sweet potato ( 124 g ) will give you 2.5 g of fibre and 259 mg of potassium.
