Ingredients
175g Skim Milk
5g Natvia Natural Sweetener
5gTandaco Dry Yeast
30g FloraProActive 50% Less Fat, Melted
1 x Whole Egg

40g VPA® Chocolate Whey Isolate
300g White Wings Plain Flour
40gNatvia Natural Sweetener
Pinch of Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
2 tsp Allspice
100g Nestle Dark Choc Bits
20g White Wings Plain Flour
20g Water
Directions
Heat milk until Luke warm (make sure it’s not too hot or it will kill the yeast, too cold and it won’t activate). Add in 5g Natvia sweetener and yeast. Mix, cover, and set aside in a warm place for 10 minutes. It should start to bubble / foam.
Combine melted FloraProActive and egg. Whisk to combine. Add in your whey isolate, flour, remaining sweetener, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Stir until combined. Fold through chocolate bits. Cover and set aside in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
Weigh total dough and divide by 10, this will give you the total grams per hot cross bun. Divide mixture into 10 even servings, and roll into balls. Place on a baking pan and cover. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. To make your paste for your topping, combine flour and water. Spoon into a zip lock bag and snip the corner. Pipe across buns. Cook for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve and enjoy!
